On our last day in San Francisco we headed back to the bridge with Kathy and Paul.
As you can see it was another hot day!
Another family photo!
Paul and Ken were the only ones that made it all the way across. I headed back with T first and Kathy found us in the shade a bit later
Here is Ken making eyes at Paul! Shortly after this they were approached by another male couple who took their picture together :)
The picture of this street doesn’t come close to showing how steep it was. Kathy and I weren’t happy, you can see we were already behind Ken and Paul and we weren’t even halfway up yet!
Here is the famous crooked street. I presume that it is made this way so cars can get down it.
The people that live adjoining the street must have a lot of patience with tourists and cars going past all day
We had time for one last trip to the fire station. Sadly they had just got back from the funeral of one of their men. We really appreciated the Alleycats taking the time to indulge T on such a sad day for them
This is T in front of one of the fire engines. Look at the sheer pleasure on his face :)
In front of SFFD Rescue 1
T trying on the headset. It was really heavy so I am not sure if that is why he looked like this or if he was scared of it!
While we waiting for Kathy and Paul on our last evening T got chatting to a pilot in the lobby!
And finally, a picture of our seasoned traveler on the way home. It all looks very calm here. Little did we know we were going to be flying into a storm, get diverted to another airport as we were running out of fuel (too much information) and then finally land about 4 hours late!
