We decided to go on the ferry to Sausalito across the bay as it was recommended as a place to visit.
Here is the San Francisco skyline from the ferry
The Golden Gate Bridge with Alcatraz Island to the right
It was pretty windy and we were having a hard time getting T to sit down with the ferry swaying all over the place!
We were lucky enough to find a great children's playground and spent some time here as there was also some shade for us. T managed to get over his dislike of sand on his feet and enjoyed the new rides!
We walked around Sausalito for a while after that but it was very hot so we decided to head back. As you can see the wind played havoc with T’s hair
After we got back we decided to take T to a fire station that the tourist info had recommended, the home of the Alley Cats.
We managed a brief visit before they were called out to a fire. It seemed that every few minutes a fire truck was heading somewhere, it was a very busy city
In the evening we took advantage of our travel cards as we had to take three buses to get to the bridge!
We were tired and cold after this picture but we didn’t return home until we went for a walk on the bridge.
