Unfortunately we didn't make it to the age of two when T would have been less vulnerable forward facing but he is a big boy and we reached the weight limit so we had to turn him.
Car seat safety has become a bit of a hobby of mine as my friends here know too well ;)
After turning his seat I took it to an inspection station to be checked and I was so proud of the results.
The police lady said they are the biggest inspection station in NY state. So far this year she has inspected 1431 cars and only 10 were installed correctly. I made 11 :)

Of course she was also pleased that we rear faced him as long as possible. If you need any info on extended rear facing for your friends or family just let me know and I will happily pass it on.
